3D printers bestaan al jaren. Tot voorkort waren het dure apparaten, die
slechts voor grote bedrijven betaalbaar waren. Niet iets waarmee een
kunstenaar, ontwerper of uitvinder zelfstandig aan de slag kan. Dankzij
de ontwikkeling van Open Source hardware is dat aan het veranderen.
Online Communities werken aan de ontwikkeling van Do-It-Yourself
alternatieven.
Inmiddels is er een bouwpakket 3D printer op de markt voor 750 euro en
kan je op internet diverse ontwerpen vinden die je zelf kan nabouwen.
Besturings-software, voorheen vaak nog duurder dan de printer zelf, is
gratis beschikbaar op internet.
In deze workshop vertel ik over mijn eigen ervaringen met de bouw van 3D
printers. Ik laat zien wat er nu aan software en hardware beschikbaar is
en waar we aan werken.

all basic services are covered: internet, sofa, heater, coffee. every tuesday from 6 we meet and work on the space, and talk about the different projects.

pure data patching circle at the #slug
On Wednesday 22 of July we are going to start a Pure Data Patching Circle and that is the closest I can find to the nights we spent on riereta with dgepeto and the Pure Data Users Syndicate. 
We are starting with a Pure data crash course, to honor last serious workshop, and the plane to do:
- three sessions of pure data introduction
- 2 sessions of support to the workshop attendants
- starting pure data weekly patching circle meetings, with lightning talks at the start and then working together and troubleshooting
- Working on video-projections for the interested… maybe we can create a group of VJs?

new space
We are setting up our new space in De Pijp (Ceintuurban 215), come over to visit us and dump all that hardware you are not using!
The arcade machine is almost working and we are meeting every Friday from 19.
There we plan new things to do and also give FREE LINUX SUPPORT. If you want to install linux on your computer, or have linux already but are having some problems, pass by and we will put our hands on it.
